London, April 6. News from Cape Town dated 18th March :
Obam, Cetawayo's brother, supposed to be an aspirant to tie throne, Obam's son, and 3UO Zulus have surrendered unconditionally. No important movement has been made.
Colonel Law is in command of the force for the relief or Ekowe. A large number of Zulus surround Ekowe. The garrison is well, but short of provisions.
Tin- 57th Infantry regiment are marching on Lum-I-i.
The 91st and lGth Infantry pve_;iments an I a Biitish battiy have arrived.
New Zealand Five per cent Loan, 102.
[special.] London, April 6. An insurrection has broken out in the Transvaal among the Boers. Proposals of peace have been made by Cetawayo, it is believed to gain time.
LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
Sydney, April 8. An uproarious meeting of Lambton miners was held at Newcastle to-day. The majority of the men are inclined to continue work. A large body of police were present in consequence of apprehensions of a riot. Melbourne, April 7. Mr Berry telegraphs to Sir Bryan O'Loughlen that ho will have anolher interview shortly with the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
