RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

Thursday, July 25, [Before M. Price, Esq., KM.] CIVIL CASES. Mulligan and Co., v. Riley.—Judgment summons Mr Perkins appeared for the defendant, order made that the amount due, £1 13s be paid by August Bth., with costs of Court. Borough of Kumava v. Haworth.— Adjourned for one week On the application of the Town Clerk. Heinz v. Trustee in the estate of Goodrick.—Claim £4 12s.—Judgment for plaintiff, with costs. Seddon Brothers v. Ancher.—Mr Perkins appeared for the plaintiffs and Mr Hawkins for the defendant. Claim £6 10s. A set-off’ was put in by the defendant but not allowed, on the grounds of it being a personal account and not against the firm. Judgment for plaintiffs, with costs.

Blackbird v. Lawson.—Claim, £B, for wages as servant to the defendant. Judgment fsr plaintiff £7 14s 6d the amount of 5s 6d being deducted for a bottle of brandy the plaintiff served contrary to orders, and for which, she not getting paid, had to refund.
