Early this morning, in fact before the polling booths were opened, the Committees of the two candidates for Representative honors had commenced their electioneering labors for the day. Cabs, waggonettes, coaches, and every obtainable vehicle that could be possibly designated as a means of conveyance were placed at the services of the electors, by the two parties contesting. Cards, on which the names of three candidates appear*d, and with only one name left intact, were freely circulated. Snow-balling, combined with various ehaffiing matches, in no small degree contributed to the enjoyment of the day.
