TO PRKSS AGENCY. Melbourne, June 10. Captain Daish, marine Surveyor, has just returned from the wreck of the Loch Ard. He reports favourably of the prospects for recovering a large portion of the cu-go, which, with the cargo, will be sold. No more bodies have come ash--re. The survivors are progressing favorably. London, Jime 4. in the cricket match, Australia v. Yorkshire, the best individual Australian scores were as follows?—C. Bannerman, 25 ; A. Bannerman, not out 17 ; He-ran,. 31 ; Girrett, 26 ; Allan, not, out, 11; The bowling and fielding of the Australians were very superior. Spofforth especially distinguished himself in bowling, and took 9 wickets. Sydney, June 3. By the wreck of tire Loch Ard seventy lives were lost. All on board perished excepting two, a boy and a girl, who escaped almost by a miracle, and drilted ashore. The ship struck on a rock, and sank in ten minutes. The steamer Blackbird, which was wrecked on the Ninety Mile Beach, was insured with the New Zealand Insurance Company for £8,700, of which .£7oos was reinsured.
