It is reported that massacres of Christians have taken place in Bessarabia, and that the Crete Greeks are intensely indignant. Numerous foreign deputations are arriving in Rome for the Pope's funeral. The Agent General telegraphs under, date London, February 14 3.5. p.m:— The Russians are close to Constantinople and threaten occupation if the English fleet enter the Dardanelles. The English fleet entered yesterday, despite the protest .of Turkey which is now more Russian than English. Russia among other terms of peace demands a portion of Bessarabia, which may involve complications with Austria and Roumania. There is general excitement thioughout Great Britain.,
