HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
■ The Committee met last night. Present ; Messrs Dungan (in the chair), Paul, O.Hara, Barrowman, M‘Gregor, Garguillo. and Reynolds. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. - A letter was read from the Secretary to the Hokitika Hospital, enclosing account for quarter ending December, amountin&r to £6115s 2d. 6 The following amounts were handed infor annual tickets sold £4 ; and from patients, £2 ; total, £6. =. It was resolved that the Chairman be empowered to take; ■ legal advice on 1 the unpaid I O Us and promissory notes received from patients during the past six months. Resolved—“ That Messrs Paul, Garguillo and Nicholson canvass Dilhnan’s Town for subscriptions. ” The consideration of establishing an hospital fn the district was, j after ducus--sion,'deferred to a future and fuller meeting- “ . 4 ; The following accounts were passedJfor paymentHokitika Hospital, £6i‘ r lsa. 2d ; James Holmes, paintingandpapering ward, £l3 IGs. - The meeting then adjoumedfbr & fortnight. • ... .
