'Mr " Wylde, Secretary to the Local JBoard of Health, deposed that he thought the placdcould not be cleansed ■except or covering with a (quantity .of lime. Alexander Stewart •deposed that the stench from the place ■vwas unbearable. Embezzlement.—Avrthur Winter was ••charged with eirfbezzling the sum of baker Dillomatfß Town, his lemployer. Prisoner pleaded guilty; Sub-Inspector O'Donnell -■stated that the»e were two other •similar charges against Winter, one of which he' would,' however, withdraw. "The bench .having expressed adeßire to know the oircumstances of the deposed, s»at prisoner had tho money, and appropriated it.
