Bombay, Sept. 25. The London detectives have been committed for trial re the turf swindle. Seven hundred and fifty thousand models in the American Patent Office have been burnt. A Russian-special official says that Mehemet Ali unsuccessfully attacked the Russians at Cherkoona, on the River Jantra on the 21st. He reached the entrenchments, but was compelled to fall back, his supports failing. A Turkish official despatch says that a convoy numbering 5000 entered Plevna.
