disturbance in it. Constable Hatton I deposed that at about a quarter to one on Hie 25th he heard a great noise in defendant’s house. He knocked very loudly and called “ Police,” but could not obtain admission. The men were quarrelling. The. defendant said he did not know it was the police. Hi a Worship inflicted a fine of 40s, and costs. CIVIL CASES. Foley v. McCormick.—Claim, goods, •210 10s Bd. Mr Perkins for plaintiff. Defendant did not appear. Verdict for plaintiff, with costs (including professional). Estate of Jacobs v. King.—Claim, goods, 19s fid. Defendant did not appear. Verdict for plaintiff. Drummond v. M'Grath. Claim, goods, £5 7s 2d. Defendant did not appear. Verdict for plaintiff.
