Sir,—lf it be within the range of possibility, will you be so good as to publish the evidence recently taken of the various claimants, given at the enquiry as to the Government reward relative to Kumara Gold-field. The public are interested, more particularly the mining community. Let It be known to the public at large what are the actual merits of each claim advanced. What you have published has been most acceptable, although poor in character, for what it attempts to support j but more anon. Tours, &c., Justice. Kumara, May 15, 1877.
