Kawhia Congregational Church.
At the annual meeting in connection with the above held on Wednesday evening the Committee reported that the fence had been put in thorough repair by the dadition of more posts, spreaders and new straining posts.and a vote of thanks vas pissed to Mr Mason for his gift of the latter. The financial statement showed an income of £52 16s 6(l* being £4O 9s lOd from Kawhia and £l2 6s 8d from the out districts, which evidenced t?ie fact that it will be some time before the ouui’ch Is self supporting. The following wore elected as members of the committee —Messrs H. Durham, secretary, P Ward, treasurer, F. Hosting, and T. Wackett. Provisional arrangements were made for the welcome meeting to the new pastor : Chairman, Mr Durham ; refreshment committee, Mesdanies Durham, Newton and Turrell, Mr Jonathan wrote kindly offering the services.?* the orchestra to provide music. Some of the Sunday School scholars will one give or two selections, under the tuition of Miss Buckeridge, and Mrs Dur ham and the pastor were appointed a committee to arrange other items. It was also decided to invite the Kev. K, Mitchell and G. Carr to be present.
