KAWHIA HARBOUR RAILWAY.

(to the editob.)

Sir,—A letter appear* by “Progress” in last weeks papar. Njw, “Profte’s” does not evidently k-iow tbe first necessary step towards getting a railway. Don’t spbt over routes, leave that to tb i surveyors wbo know grades aud distances. Many railway schfa’ucs are shelved through indecision re routes and “Progress” should have signed bis letter “Anti Progress.” We want the nearest connection with the Main Line by the easiest route- Leave this to those paid to do it, and satisfactory results may be looked for. but start a dispute about routes and there will be no railway.—Yours etc., VEBITATIB.
