Native Land Court.
A sitting of the; Native Land Court was opened at Kawhia on Saturday last. Judge Giifedder presiding, KanajlU Haerehuka acting as aaaeasor and Kep* H. Ehau as clerk and interpreter. The cases were conducted by Messrs Pepsn* Eketone, John Ormsby, E. Falwasiser and ,Teni Tuhakaina, About 80 cases were dealt with, including the petitioning of Taharoa. Ths court concludes to-morrow (Saturday). Efforts were made by wire to get the court to stay longer, but it was ascertained that only the oases adjourned Otorohanga could be heard, and no fresh ones taken. At the request of our representative Judge Giifedder has promised to rheommend that Kawhia be placed on the list of places where sittings are periodically
