The rock miuht be considered dangerous for in»‘»ll vessels in very heavy weather, but very few steamers nee the youi sc in its vicinity. Thia (Friday) morning there was a good downpour, which will prove very beneficial to this part of the Dominion.

At the Te Kan-a moa sports on Friday last three spielersappeared. When tbe police had left they made a nice haul by playing illegal games.
