Kawhia Town Board.

The usual meeting of the above body was held at the Settler Office on Thursday evening last, when there were present —Messrs Jonathan (in the chair), Turrell, Falwaseer and Bott. Mr Ward tendered tor the erection ot three lamps for £7 10b On the motion ot Oca Scitt and Turrell it was decided: “ That'specifications be drawn up for the erection of three lamps and left in the band.of a c mmittee, consisting of Ors Turrell and Jonathan/to adjust and let the werk, one lamp to be by Faiwaaset’s office, one at the corner of Tain"! and Jervois streets, and the othar at corner of Pouewa and Jorvois streets.’ THE RESERVES. Discussio) took place as to leasing the reserves, the fol lowing motion being- carried: “That" grazing rights over reserves be sold by public auction on date to be arranged by clerk. Lot 1. Plantation Reservu to be on a one year grazing right. Lot 2, sectioni 2, 8, 4 and 5, block VII, sections 8 and 4, block 111, on a throe years grazing right, agreements to be drawn up subject to term i of mem >- from Minister for Lands dated May 2nd, 1907, and to be open tor inspection, with plan, to intending purchaser. Lot 8, Section 3, block V (Birton’s) on one year or three years grazing r;ght, and can be arranged with present holder.”

A PESIBAELE SECTION. The Chairman thought that application should by made for the small piece ot land near Mr Hamilton’s shop, which should belong to the people. It was decided to apply for the section.
