N.Z. LOAN A MERCANTILE AGENCY CO.’S REPORT. On Tuesday, 27th ultfat Ohuupo there wat* a big yarding off t>9< head of store cat! tie and 21'0 head of dairy| stock (mostly springing heit'-rs). Grown steers were about the same in price, but young cattle slightly lower. Freah cond : tioned 3to 81 year-old steers sold at fron.'|£s 10s to £6 ss; V I-year s’eers, £3 15s to £6 5s ; choice steer calves and yearlings, £2 2s to £2 10a; freshcows and heifers, £2 15s to £3 18 ; cows from £5 15s to £(>. On Saturday, 25th ulto. we held our usual monthly sale at Te Awamutu. About 200 head of store cattle and dairy cattle were yarded and good competition ruled throughout. Good calv.-s and yearlings brought £2 to £2 3s ; 18-mos. to 2-yr-old steers, £2 Iss to £3 6s. Pigs came forward in large numbers, Weaneas realised 10s to 14a 6a : stores, IDs to £1 2s ; slips. 14b 6d to I7s.
