On Wedneadav 23rd, we had u very sucU ssfi I sale at vatamata, when everything was disposed of. 600 head of store cattle and dairy stock camo forward, store cattle selling very leadilv. Fat and forward 8-yr-old steers realised from £5 15s to £7; 2-yr- I o’d steers, £3 12s 6d to £4 7s 6d. A number- j of horses realised good prices. Pigs were also offered, weaners making 14s, and slips 15stol7s. , , ! On Thursday, 22nd inst„ we yarded 78 | prime fat steers and fat cows, for which : competition was brisk throughout. Good steers realised from £8 16s to £0 ; smaller , ones, £6 9s to £8 ; cows near profit, £5 5s i to £6 A number of pigs sold well, weaners realising 10s 6d to 13s; slips, 14a to Ids. i THE FARMERS- CO-OPERATIVE AUCIONEERING CO.’S REPORT. . At Cambridge sale on Friday 23rd we 'yarded 300 head of cattle. There was a good attendance and a good enquiry existed for all classes. Twenty-four prime fat steers made£B 6s to £9 ; fat heifers, £6 Ils; 2fryear steers, £4 10s to £1 15s; 18-months to 2-year s eers, £3 to £3 lbs ; good yearling stceis, 35s to £2 3s ; yearling heifers, 30s to 35--; calves, 275; poor calves, 16s; springing ’ owe, £5 to £7 12s Gd ; more backward sorts, £2 5s to £4 os ; heifers at profit, £o 9s Gd to £7 others, £3 to £l 15a; empty heifers, £3 ; abern cull hoggets, 1 0s. Pigs : Sows, £3 to £6; slips, IBs 6d; lss 6d to 16s. At Ohaupo on Tuesday, 20th, we yarded 981 head of cattle, and have to report a successful sale. There was a good attend an and brisk bidding throughout. Prices f young stock showed a decided improvement on those lately ruling.
