A CONTRADICTION.
(to thb editor.) Bir,—I have waited patiently for some time for the chairman of the Te “’ga meeting to contradict the slate ments made by “Occasional Corres pondent/' Te Anga, which appeared in your columns some weeks ago. As be has not done so I must take it that the words be is credited with in refer ence to the Kinohaku branch of the Farmer/ Union being detunct is a correct report of what he did say. Now, nr, permit me to say that such a statement is anything but the truth, as the Kinoboku branch has never been in a better position th n it is at present, both financially and numerically. We closed last year with a financial membership of twenty, and since then a number of new members have joined. I think it would show wisdom on the port of the Baid chairman if be wot Id in tike himself conversant with facts, instead of putting himself in tbe humilating position of making statements which are altogether void of the truth.—Yours etc,, WILLIAM J. BAAW. Chairman, Kinohaku Branch Farmers’ Union.
