JETTY AND SHED FOR OPARAU.

(to the editor.) Sir,—Te Eau-a-moa wants the shed at the ferry. We want it at Oparau. Where is it to be put ? Are we to lose our chance or build oar own ? Let us rather sink selfishness and have one good shed and jetty at the terry as the road is short and good. No doubt a vote will cause a split which means indecision,—Yours, etc,, OPARAU SETTLER. (to the editor.) Sib,—A controversay of opinion naturally exists 88 to the most suitable site for the Oparau wharf and shod. Those settlers on the Oparau and Okupata roads want it at Oparau. whilst the Te Rau-a-moa and coach road settlers naturally want it at the ferry. The question now arises where the shed shall be put. If these two sections of the Oparau community cannot agree, the usual course will no doubt be taken by the Council or Marine Board, to plainly inform the Oparau settlers that until they agree no she! can be erected oat of the proposed loan. The money available will undoubtedly be all required to extend the Kawhia wharf and increase its storage shed. Te Rau-a-moa has a claim to a shed at the ferry ; tbe road from Oparau being on the north side is good ond if the upper Oparau settlers would have sufficient consideration for the Te Rau-a-moa, coach load, and Te Kauri settlers to agree to build the wharf and shed at the ferry tbo Council or Marine Board could Chen proceed with the work. Each communal section no doubt wants it at their nearest landing, and t<:> an outsider the ferry is the eras centre of Oparau.— Yours, etc., OUTSIDER.
