TE KUITI SALE, Messrs M’Nicol and Co. report:—Ab Te Kuibi on Wednesday we yarded 1050 head of cabble, bhe majority being steers from 21yearo upwards, A number of the bullocks, although good framed and in forward condition, were Holstein cross and did not appear to the liking of the Waikato buyers. However close on 800 were disposed of, the younger cattle, calves and 18-montha selling much better than the older sors, Very forward bullocks made £6; 34-year-old steers, £4 16s to £5; choice 2 to 24 yr steers, £8 5s to £3 15s; 3-j ear store shears, £3 5b to £4; forward cows, £2 15s to £3 3s; score speyed heifers, £2 2s 6d ; 18-mon th steers, £2 to £2 10s; 18-monthi heifers, 30s to 35s ; extra good calves, 355; fair calves, 20s. MATIERE SALE. Messrs M‘Niool and Co, report:—At Matiero (Ohura) opening sale of the 19th inst., we offered just over 720 head of cattle. Although we hive no yards in the district the settlers had kindly put in a few days* work and provided pens and a few drafting y&ida, which enabled the cattle being offered in lots. There was a very large attendance of neighbor ring settlers and a number of Waikato farmers were also present. Prices were much in line with those ruling in Waikato markets, and although we did not effect a clearance of all stock, the majority found buye .principally to settlers m the district. Forward conditioned 21 and 3J year old steers, £3 10s to £4 10s; 18montbs steers, £2 to £2 1b 6d; 2 year-old steer?, £3 to £3 7a 6d ; good calves, 2ls 61; extra choice 2J and 8-year-old dairy heifers in calf, £4 9s to £4 15s; good heifers, £3 10s to £3 15s; smaller sorts, £2 12s 6d to £3; 18months old heifers, 2Os to Bss; 6 really good fAt bullocks, £9 to £9 ss.
