Order for amount and £1 8i costs. Same v. Tukuhau, £l2 8s 7d.— Order for amount and £2 5s costs. Same v. F. A. Pearson, £lO 2s 7d. —Order for amount and £2 4s 6d costs. T. O. Turnbull v. Abraham Moore, £6 12s for board and lodging.—Order for amount and £1 18s costs. J. Greer v. James Toomath (Mr Gillies), £l4 for wages and loss of time through waiting for same. The amount of £6 6s was admitted as owing, but plaintiff had been working for a sub contractor.—Order for £6 6i and £2 costs. T. Anderson (Mr GilHesi) proceeded against Messrs Davies and Sons (Mr Singer, instructed by Messrs Devore and Martin) for £25, the value of a horse which it was alleged had died through defendant’s neglect, and £lO for special damages. After a lengthy hearing a verdict was returned for the £25 only, with £2l 8s costs. M. Galvan sued Pouwharetapu by judgment summons, for £7 15s 3d, and defendant was ordered to liquidate the debt by paying £2 per month. DOG TAXES. Thomas Ashbolt, d.-g tax collector, v. Toibau, Tai and Tauranga, for failing to register their dogs.—Withdrawn as defendants bad since registered. LIQUOR LAWSA conxiction was recorded against a prohibited person for obtaining liquor during the currency of an order. Judgment was reserved in the cases of W. A. and Elizabeth Healy, charged with keeping liquor for sale in a proclaimed area.
