The s.s. Rothesay arrived at Kawhia from Marokopa, on Monday morning, having as a cargo 14 bales of flax and a few bags of hides. Captain Kemp reports that owing to tbo river having silted up the Rothesay was aground for days and had to be got to the bar by means of a kedge anchor. The bar was very, smooth when crossed at four o'clock on Sunday afternoon, and a smooth sea was experienced for some miles.
