Kiritehere.

(from our own correspondent.) It seems a pity that the Government did not see fit to survey a township at Marokopa instead of at Te Maika, as tbe former place is sure to be the more important. People who are going into business are having considerable trouble in getting titles to building sites. The Harihari flax mill is running steadily and a good quantity of fibre is being produced. There is a movement on foot to get a Post Office at Marokopa, with a weekly mail service between Kiritehere and Te Maika. Road work has again been started a few new contracts having been let. The s.s. Rothesay arrived from Kawhia on Tuesday 24th.
