Last month the Kotshi arrired. with a full cargo of grass seed. Those who have sown their seed have been very fortunate, as the constant showery weather has guaranteed the seed. There is a splendid show of grass. s The Marokopa has presented quite a busy appearance lately, the Rothesay arriving from Kawhia and thsKotebi from Waitara, both boats taking away fibre from the local miU. The launch “ Marokopa,” owned by the Marokopa Milling Co. has arrived. Mr G. Berg is to be in charge of this craft, which should prove a boon to rettlers up the river. The M M. Go. evidently mean business. One of the directors was down here recently, and is credited with the statement tha': tbe company would have a saw milt running before next Christmas. This will ba a great con« venienee as sawn timber ie very much needed.
