The Premier said he would consider about having a special committee of reference set up.
The quietude of the Kawhia court on Wednesday last was somewhat disturbed during the cross-examination of a Moon witness by Constable McCarthy. The question was very pointed and the native evidently was getting flustered and leaned over to ■toady himself at the Clerk’s table, when suddenly it tilted and crash went the ink to the floor, to the great consternation of the witness and the amusement of the rest of those present.
