Kawhia Cemetery.

A meeting of the trustees of the above was held on Saturday. Dr C. Campbell Jenkins in the chair. Mr Whitcombe presented a surveyed plan of the cemetery and divisions, which was approved of. It was resolved that aljout one acre be fenced in a proper manner f >r pre sent requirements, the chairman boing instructed to advertise for tenders for the erection of the fences and gate’. After careful discussion, it was de cid-D. to write lo the C >un y Council asking that body to provide £25 for fencing and necessary expenses and to ask them if they were prepared to tak over tho du ie< of cemetery trustees; with that object in view tbs chairman and the Rev. R Mitchell were deputed to wait upon the County Council the next mealing on the 17 h prox.
