SMALL IMPROVEMENTS TO KAWHIA TOWNSHIP.

(TO THE EDITOR.) Sib, —In the last report of the proceedings of the Kawhia Country Council I notice that certain improvements at the bottom of Tainui street were ordered to be done, viz , the construction of a small culvert, draining a bit of swamp, and removing an old house. I would like to ask why these small matters have not been attended to ? The works may seem small but still each is badly required. Another thing, what about the £2 to improve the track to Te Puru which has been authorised for some considerable time? Our representative should see that these amounts are expended. 1 would also like to call attention to the many patches of gorse all over the town.— Yours, etc., TOWNIE. [advertisement]
