AW4ROA BBANOH. A meeting of the above branch was held on the 18tb, when there was a very fair attendance. Correspondence was read from the secretary of the Kawhia Harbour Railway League, Mr H J. Greenglade, M.H.R., Mr W. H. Reynolds and the secretary Kinohaku branch. Mr Reycolds was elected a member. It wag decided to ask the Minioter of Public Works to have a trial survey made of a railway between the Main Trunk Line and Kawbia Harbour at as early a date as possible. The branch decided to favour the Kawbia County Council having control of the Harbour a? the moat expeditious way of settling the matter, as members raojgniio that s. mething must be done immediately to meet the requirements of larger boats calling here; a copy of the resolution to be forwarded to the Minister of Marine;
It was unanimously resolved that the Government be urged to place sufficient money on the Estimates to complete the road between the present formation on the Awaroa-Mahoa and Mahoo roads, so as to give communication between th® Kawhia Harbour and Hangaciki railway station, a distance of about three miles. members of the branch ox pressed tbeir keen appreciation of the advent of the Rod Funnel fleet of steamers to Kawhia, and wish the e mpany every success.
