Kawhia Axemen’s Carnival.

In forwarding cheque for £2 5s 61 for prizes in the Boy’s Chop at the recent carnival to the secretary (Mr E. Falwasser), Mr Percy Basley writes : “ When I am ia Kawhia again I will confer with you as to giving the same prizei again for a Boys’ Handicip Champion Chop. Let me hope that the folk alh round the harbour will also enter into the spirit of the pastime, and so make tbe entries bigger and thereby aid the interests of the small boy—the chopper and settler to come whose future I have at heart.”
