THE WHARF DERRICK.
(to the bmtob ) Sir,—l have just seen in your valuable columns that the wharf trustees propose to erect a derrick, and as one of those interested I hope it will eventuate. Mr W. W. M'Cardle’s observations upon the wharf trustee’s waste of money anent this matter can hardly come under the category of unbiassed criticisim. But many of this gentle man’s observations, I regret to say. are on the surface, and are not suffi ciently bblasted to carry them through the sea of adverse debate.-—Yours, etc., A SETTLER.
