Kawhia Harbour Railway.
Mr H. H. Pettit, hon. secretary Kawhia Harbour Railway League, has teceived tbe following letter from Mr H. J. Greenslade, M.H.R.• “ I beg to acknowledge receipt of yours of the 2nd inat., enclosing a copy of petition forwarded to Parliament last session, and asking my assistHnce in tbe matter. I will gladly do all I possibly oan to further the laudable object the League has in view, but lam afraid very little can lie done until the House meets, when I will use nay utmost endeavours to have the necessary money voted for 'he preliminary survey. I hope to be in Kawhia next Wednesday, when I will go into the whole question with yourself and others interested.” A letter hap also been received from Mr F. W. Lang «s follows : “ I acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 2ad inst. It is very gratifying to me tc receive the thanks of the League for my efforts in the past. Though no longer in the House myself I shall have grout pleasure in urging my friends in Parliament to do '’'ir best to aid tbe League.”
