Pirongia.
FROM oun OWN CORRESPONDENT. On NovSnibar 29th, the Loan and Mercantile held one of their periodical sales at Pirongia. Cattle were yarded in giod numbers, but owing to a fall in prices buyers wore not koen on buy ing, and a fair number were passed in Well forward yearlings sold from 85s to £2 Is. Weaner pigs wBre in good demand and realised good prices, The local tennis club social eventuated on November 29th, to which the young people turned out well. The floor was in good order, and dancing was kept up with vigour till 1.80 a.m. Songs were rendered at intervals, a most enjoyable evening being spent. The weather has been all that could be desired of late—real, fine, hot days. Stock in general are looking at their best.
