DABBED WIRE ON WHARF.
(to the editor.) Sir,—The other night (and that a very inky black one) I was on the end of the Kawhia wharf, acting in the capacity of Isaac Walton, and as the fish were cither not hungry or from some other cause, I was unsuccessful in catching any uf the finny tribe, but turning to leave for home I got “caught” instead among a lot of barbed wire lying on the wharf, escaping with a torn and completely spiiled nether garments, l. carated leg and nasty cut on wrist. Now, Sir, I consider such traps should not ba allowed by those who have the care of the wharf, and in eases of accidents and destruction of clothes, etc., they should be made to oampeiisate f r same.—Yours, etc., VICTIM.
