Kawhia Cemetery.
The Lands and Survey Department have forwarded to Dr C ' Campbell Jenkins the tracing of tbe Kawhia Cemdtory, and also the information that the trustees must- be gazetted before they can band over their trust to the County Council. At a recent meeting of the .trustees it was resolved that the present site be viewed by tbe Rev. R. Mitchell aud Dr Jenkine, aud that they ask Mr Ma.-on (tbs adjoining land owner) and Mr Wbiioombe to accompany them to d?oide what permanent improvements be effected, as temporary measures lasting two yearn or more wees futile and a waele of money. When ibis ha? been done, as will be upon Dr Jenkins* return from Auek land (where he bas to attend the Buprem< Court) it is the intention of the trustees to call a public meeting to discuss ways andl means of fencing. | We believe the matter will rec-five som-i attention at tbe next meeting of ' the County Council.
