Axemen’s Association.

There were only five present at tbo meeting of the Oparau Amalgamated Axemen’s Association, held at the Seitlei: Office on Monday night last, Mr E. Fa I waaecr presiding. The balance sheet, which showed a credit balance of £1 2s lid, was adopted. It was decided to present the amount te tbo aecretary (Mr Prentice), who handed it back to the next year’s carnival. Mr Prentice announced that be would not again take tbo position of ■ecrefary, and the appoiatineut of a successor was adjourued to a future meeting. Afte a hearty vote of thf uks had beeu accorded the late secretary, the meeting adjourned.
