Kawhia Hack Racing Club.

A meeting of members of the above club was held in Mr E. Falwasser’! office on Saturday night last (Mr W. A. Mason presiding), whon about a dozen gentlemen were present. After the minutes of the last meeting had been read and confirmed, it was decided that the appreciation of the club be placed on record for the energetic way in which the secretary executed his duties, and that he be voted £5, the balance in hand to be carried forward. The date of the next races was fixed for Friday, Docember 15th, and Mr Turrell and the secretary were appointed to draw up a programme, the total prizo money not to exceed £6O. Lang, Esq., M.H.R. ; president, H. J. Greenslade, Esq.; vice - presidents, Messrs Durham, Wilson, Barron, Wetere, Eketone, Mason, W. M'Cardle; judge, Mr Durham ; timekeeper, Mr Dance ; starter, Ml E; Falwasser ; clerk of course, Mr R. M‘Cardie; auditor, Mr Dance; clerk of scale.-, Mr Prentice; handicappers, Messrs King, Turrell and Gosling ; protest committee and stewards, Messrs Oamp bell, Langley, Morgan, Rewi, Pickering, Siroombe, V. M‘Cardle, Mason, Kevile, Jonathan, Wilson, Pearson, Crotty, Ward, Mackenzie. Hinton and F. Newton ; secretary and treasurer, Mr Gosling. Messrs E. M’Oardle, Mason and Wetero were appointed to inspect grounds and report at next meeting. After votes of thanks had been ac corded the chairman and Mr Falwasser for the use of bis office, che meeting adjourned until Saturday, October 9.
