Obituary.
Miss Clara (Tot) Perham.
It is our painful duty to again have to chronicle a death in our midst, the victim upon this occasion being a young woman in the prime of life, beloved and honoured by a large circle of relatives and friends, Miss Clara (Tot) Perham, who succumbed on Friday fasti after a protracted illness. The iai.e Miss Perham had suffered for about seven year?, during the past few months of which period she was confined to her bed, and notwithstanding the best medical attention and most careful nursing she gradually sank, and passed away as above stated, at the early age of 29 years. As a loving daughter and sister and kind friend the deceased was known, consequently she was held in the highest esteem. Throughout her long illness Miss Parham bore up with more than usual cheerfulness, whilst the Christian fortitude displayed was sincere and genuine. We are sure that the heartfelt sympathy of the whole community is expended to Mrs Perham and her family i in their sad bereavement.
The funeral took placa or. Sunday, when a large number of residents followed the remains to the place of interment, the Kawhia cemetery. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. B. Mitchell. The coffin was covered with wreaths from sym pathetic friends. The death took place ou Saturday last of the infant daughter of Mr and Mrs A. E. Langley, two days after birth.
