(to thk editor,) Sir, —The Pirongia West Settlers’ Branch of the Farmers’ Union has been going in for strobg persistent work lately. At a meeting held on Saturday, August 12th (Mr Boesen in the ch aii), the hon. secretary indulged in such strong and persistent work that he was left in sole command of the meeting, which quite suited him. —Yours, etc., OPARAU CORRESPONDENT.
