He briefly explained that since the last annual -moetitm Mv Barton, wbo was appnicted one ot tta committee at the last annual meeting had left the district, and the Bey. R. MitcbeH bad been appointed in his stead. During the year improvements had been effected—the Native ricbool had been taken possession of for whool purposes in lieu of the old Maori Hall, and the Education Board had let a tender for alterations and additions, the price being about £350. The attendance of scholars bad decreased, owing to the settlers removing on to their sections, but everything else was iu a flourishing and satisfactory e >ndiiton. The new committee weald start the year with a credit balance The following gerittemen were elected members of the . oMinittee for the ensuing 12 months :4-»#v. R. Misobeli. Messrs Hamilton, Howes and Turnbull. The meeting then closed. COMMITTEE MEETING. The meefimrs were fixed, for the first Tueeday ia each month, at 8 p m„ at Mr Hamilton's residence. It was decided tbit the names of Messrs Torrell and K Newton be fcr. warded to tbe Board, with the reque.-r that they be appointed to the two vacancies.
Tbe actiou of Mr Hamilton in o dering firewood for the school fas approved ot. It was resolved to erect a double swing in tbe school grounds, after which tbe meeting adjourned.
