THE OPPOSITION PLATFBOM Mr Massey addressed a large meeting at Ausklard last Wednesday night. He asserted th*t the Opposition had a well-defined policy, the main planks of which were : 1 Giving Grown tenants the right to acquire tbe freehold; 2 Reform of the Legislative Council by making it elective ; 3 Establishment of a Public Service Board; 4 Restoration of the proper audit of the ; 5 The proper settlement of native lands; 6 Reform of the local government system; 7 Economy in the public expenditure. A hearty vote of thanks was enthusiastically carried.
