ARAPAE SCHOOL PICNIC.

A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. The annual picnic of the Arapoo school waß held at Mr Riddle'B farm on Friday, February I9tb, in delißhtful weather. There were about two hundred present, including visitors from To Mapara and Pio Pio. The function was highly nuccesEiful and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. The children's sports were well contented, and somo really good prizes went, to the successful contestantsAThis was greatly duo to the generosity of the variouß business people who assisted by donations both in money and kind. In the evening a dance whs hold in the hall, a large number attending. The dunce was highly successful nil present enjoying themselves. Results: — Girls under 12--C. Kennel 1, J. McDonald 2, C.
