Market firm, owing to reduced supplies, and in consequence of the dock strike during the week. The strike has now terminated, and work haß resumed. Mutton -No supplies of Canterbury on hand. North Inland f> KM (id for best quality; ewes I3gd. Lamb—No supplies of Canterbury on hand; other than Canterbury. 7j|d. Beef Hindquarters, (>?jd; forequarters, Gd. Chilled Beef Hindquarters, 7-Jjd; forequarturs, Ggd. Butter —The market is quiet, at a decline. Danish 132b to 13Gs; New Zealand, 128s to i:S2s; Australian, 126s to i:U)s: of Siberian butter, 15.000 caßks are expected to arrive from Vladivostock during the next week. Cheese —The market is steady, at a decline. The Canadian supply is running short, white and coloured 89s to 925; New Zealand white and coloured, 80s to 88a. A quantity of United States cheeße is on the market, mid is selling at 84s to 80s. Australian cheese continues to arrive, but the Essex cargo is not available. Hemp—The market firm, and has advanced suddenly, owing to the difficulty regarding tonnage Eight shipments of hemp are expected from Pcnang. New Zealand fair grade, £2O; fair current Manila, ,C:!. r >; forward shipment of New Zealand, good fair grade, £3l 10h; fair grade, .£29 10s; fair current Manila, The output from Manila for the week was 29,000 bales. Wool —The market is strong.
