The uoll'in connection wittt tha proposed loan for extensions and alterations to the electric light installation of Te Ruiti, was taken "yesterday, when just one hundred votes were recfcrdled. Tho proposals wr.ro carried by a majority of twenty-four, sixty votes being \cast in favour of tho loan and thirty-eight aß.inst. The proposals, which wpre fully explained in last issue of tho Chronicle, includes tho raising of £6550, of v«hich tho amount of £1557 is for meeting . a liability already incurred, the balance to be devoted to carrying out necessary additions and alterations to the installation.
