RUSSIA'S FULL STRENGTH.
NOT YET EXERTED. Petrograd. Thursday. Opening the Duma session the Premier declared the conquest of Galicia rendered stronger the union of the Russian peoples and the fraternal rapprochement of the Russian and Polish people. At the same time the Slav tribes were growing close to one another, while the Russian Army was stronger than ever. A radiant future for Russia was beginning to dawn on the walls of Constantinople. The war had little influence on domestic or economic life of Russia, and the country had not yet exerted its full strength.
The Premier, traversing Germany's declaration that she was forced into war, declared that Germany had sought to embroil Russia and the neighbouring countries in the course of her intrigues in Scandinavia, Galicia, Rumania, Turkey, China, and Janan.
It was stated during the debate that the war was costing Russia£l,4oo,ooo a day.
