KING COUNTRY CENTRAL AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.
HIGH CLASS EXHIBITS.
A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION.
Ideal weather prevailed on J;he opening day of the King Country Central A and P Show, and a fair number attended the grounds to witness the opening of the function. People's Day on Thursday, however, was marked by threatening weather in the forenoon, but the rain which threatened did not fall, and the attendance in the afternoon was up to the average. The arrangements for the Show were in the hands of a capable committee and stewards, everything working (smoothly, the judging s.nd compations being got off well up to time, the secretarial dutiea were ably carried oat by Mr L. C, Harton, whiie the president, Mr C. Stevens, must be given a special word of praise for his efforts towards the success of the function. The catering was in the hands of Mr F. Langston, and was carried out in his usual efficient style. One or two side shows were doing business on the ground, hut chief interest centred in the competitions, and these were really well contested.
