Speaking at Levin Show, Mr Massey stated that last year was a record for exports, £26,201,447 worth of produce having been exported, which was £3,683,557 above the previous year. Shipping companies had the greatest difficulty in keeping up with trade. The Government was doing all it could to get Enough ships. Tho Athenic, Oraii, and Waimana were now in New Zeaalnd waters, and he had arranged with the Imperial Government for the return of the Muritai from Egypt. He had also arranged for the return of the Suffolk.
