PEOPLE'S PICTURES

The star for this evening and Monday's programme is a great detective drama entitled "Blue Pete's Escape," in which patrons see the escape in the nick of time from the express train, the safe robbers at work, and the terrible light between the detective and the burglars. The. Btar will be supported by comic, scenic, war topicals, comedy and dramatic films. On Tuesdsy the last chapters of the great serial picture, "liUtille Love." will be screened, supported by an all-star programme, including a Revolution drama. EMPRESS PICTURES. To-night's change of programme will include two star dramas entitled "The Unseen Terror" and "House of Darkness. The latest war topical will be screened. On Tuesday and Wednesday a Keystone star comedy in two parts will be screened. The Californian "Grand Prix Road Races" at Santa Monico provide the scene of action. PETER DAWSON. The gifted and world-famed baritone, Mr Peter Dawson, and'his English concert party, including Miss Annette George, Boprano, Miss Grace Newman, violiniste ; and Miss Carlien Jurs, solo pianiste, will give their concert in the People's Picture Palace on Wednesday next, February 3rd. Throughout the world Mr Dawson's name is a by word by reason of bis delightful gramaphone records, but few have heard the singer in the flesh. Possessing, as he does, a quick and intelligent perception and a beautiful rich and resonant baritone voice of extraordinary range. Mr Dawson's concert numbers should be looked forward to by all music lovers.
