BY LORD KITCHENER 900 A MONTH WANTED. Dunedin, Tuesday. An enthusiastic recruiting meeting was held at Port Chalmers last night, The Hon. Jas. Allen, referring to the fact that New Zealand had done even more than it was asked by the Imperial Government, said the brightest gleam of hope lay in the fact that the demand for 25 per cent, of reinforcements had been reduced by the man who knew more about it than any man on earth, Lord Kitchener. Nevertheless, in artillery at leaßt, New Zealand was going to send 100 per cent, with the next two or three reinforcements. Tin? reductions proposed by Lord Kitchener in the percentages ot reinforcements is 15 per cent, infantry, and 10 per cent, mounted*.
