ON THE SOUTHERN FRONTIERS.
GERMANS TO QUIT ITALY. RUMANIANS ORDERED HOME. London, Monday. Germans in Italy numbering 72,000, chiefly distributed between Milan and Turin, have received orders from Berlin to quit aa quickly as possible. Rumanians outside the Homeland have been notified by telegram to return. Paris regards the Austro Germfln consultation as having the double purpose of restoring Austro-German harmony and of devising Homo means, either by diplomacy or by military intimidation, of preventing a Ru-manian-Italian intervention.
IMMENSE GERMAN FORCES. TRAVERSING AUSTRIA. Rome, Monday*. According to the Giornale d'ltalia immense German forces are traversing Austria for Transylvania, while the Austrian remnant of the army defeated in Sarvia will proceed to France and Flanders, mid take a place in the second line of defence as reserves, and for guarding the communications.
