TE KUITI KACING CLUB.

The Te Kuiti races which ore to be held on February 13th, promißes to be well patronised by both local people and from outside the district. Since the firflt meeting held on the Te Kumi course, the club has made tateady progreSß, and every effort is being made to make the gathering thoroughly representative of the district. The course ia now being got into really good order, and should be in excellent condition for racing by race day. The appointments are also being gradually improved and nothing will be lacking to provide for the comfort of the visitors. With the increasing popularity of the gatherings it will Bhortly be necessary to increase the stand accommodation, but at the present juncture such a big liability is out *he question. It is gratifying to note that the club has obtained the services of Mr C. O'Connor as starter, ana what is frequently something of a drawback at country meetings should be entirely satisfactory in respect to Te Kuiti. The programme prepared for the meeting is excellent, and the stakes should attract good fields. The Cup, which is endowed to the extent of £l5O this year, should receive widespread attention from outside owners, and with two other races of £IOO each, the outside horses of decent quality are well catered for. Nominations for all eventß close on Friday evening ut 0 o'clock, and will appoar in Saturday's Chronicle.
